I am a PhD student in the Inria ex)situ team. My thesis, supervised by Wendy Mackay, is entitled “Inclusive Design in Movement-Based Interaction,” and encapsulates the themes of movement, biases, and machine learning. In particular, I am interested in finding methods of rich movement-based interaction which lack prejudices from the system in both representation and presentation. I completed my master’s degree at l’Ecole nationale supérieure d’informatique et de mathématiques appliquées de Grenoble in Ubiquitous and Interactive Systems. Before, I received my bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, I have had 15+ years of dance experience in the fields of ballet, modern, jazz, and tap dance. I have performed pieces including the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker and Kitri from Don Quixote as well as worked with choreographers including Desmond Richardson and Christian Burns.
